Homework Club

The club’s aim is to make sure your child completes the homework set by the school. In Homework Club each child has a weekly schedule of extra work to complete for us and this is monitored over the week. 

We can also offer help and consultancy if your child requires additional educational support or if English is not their first language. With an extensive knowledge of the schools in the area and education in general, our advice is sure to answer all your questions.

Extra work is determined by the child’s age and individual strengths, and can include handwriting, writing for different purposes, Maths practice, reading comprehension, spelling and dictionary work and, if relevant, test preparation. 

Each child has a weekly diary sheet to fill in with the adult in charge. This is a running record of the work each child completes when at the club and it is kept in the child’s work file. 

All completed work is sent home once a year or when the child leaves Homework Club. Your child is also able to take completed project work can be taken home and shown in school if they wish, a copy may be kept in the child’s work file for reference.
